- You want each agent in its own worktree, with a diff and a pull request at the end.
- You want agents to keep running in a cloud while your Mac is closed.
- You work as a team in shared workspaces.
Grenade or Conductor?
Conductor is a Mac app that gives each agent its own git worktree, a diff view and a pull request, and can run them in its cloud. Grenade does not manage your code: it shows the agents already running in your terminal, on your Mac and on your phone.
Conductor and Grenade.
| Conductor | Grenade | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A Mac app that runs many coding agents in parallel on your codebase | A daemon on your Mac that runs each agent in a tmux session, with apps for iPhone, Android and Mac that show them all |
| How agents run | Each workspace gets its own branch, git worktree and run environment, inside Conductor's own window. Cloud workspaces run in a sandbox | In tmux sessions in the folder you choose. Your terminal stays |
| Agents | Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode | Claude Code, Codex and any shell, in one list |
| On the phone | An iOS app that works with cloud workspaces, on the Pro plan ($50 a month) | iPhone and Android apps, for the sessions on your own Mac |
| Account | GitHub and at least one agent provider | None. A phone is paired by scanning a QR code on the Mac |
| Where your chats are | Messages sent in cloud workspaces are stored on Conductor's servers; local ones stay on the Mac | On your Mac. What the phone shows travels end-to-end encrypted |
| Reviewing code | A diff viewer with comments back to the agent, pull requests, checks and merge | None: Grenade shows the agent's terminal |
An honest pick.
